First time at the gym.
Whether you are male or female, young or old, the first time you walk into a gym can be daunting. It can be overwhelming to see all the massive guys with the type of physique you’ve always dreamed of obtaining, or the girl with the J-Lo bottom who lives by the Squat rack. However the most important thing to remember is that everyone in the gym regardless of how muscular, ripped or strong they are all started at the same place as you and all had that same ‘first time at the gym’ experience.
How to Find Time for a Healthier Lifestyle
As a Personal Trainer, I really have heard an awful lot of excuses from clients as to why they can’t exercise. Ranging from the plausible “I'm too tired”, to the questionable “I can’t afford a fancy gym membership”, to the downright ridiculous “I can’t leave my dog alone” - yes that has really been used by a client as to why they can’t work out! But by far and away the one I hear most often is “I don’t have time” , which in some cases may appear to be true, but even in an extremely busy lifestyle it is still possible to find time for exercise.

Today however, food and water is conveniently provided for us in supermarkets and can even be delivered to our doors yet fitness still remains vital to people's health and well-being.

Peak Week
In this article I want to go through the fine details to bring out the best in your physique through that final week. These are protocols that I have used and tweaked myself. It's worth to note that this “plan” is not going to work if you are still carrying subcutaneous fat, it is meant for an already lean athlete to achieve that 'hard' and 'dry' look for the competition or the photo shoot.
Stress Hormones
The idea that destruction of something will then lead to it organically replenishing itself sounds like something from a science fiction movie right?
On a daily basis those of you that weight train and nutritionally feed the body intelligently are doing exactly that!
Why Running Sucks
Anybody wanting to improve their health or physique then there are much more efficient ways of doing it.
Guys want to look like Hugh Jackman but train like Mo Farah with endless cardio to “get in shape” – it’s just plain stupid!
Training journal
First because keeping a journal accelerates the learning process. Starting a new workout routine can involve learning new skills and new jargon. By writing down your workouts you are taking an additional few minutes to process what you have learned, repeat the concepts and terminology to yourself, and engrain it into your brain. Plus, if you forget what an exercise is called, you now have an easy reference.
Tuscherer effort scale
If u are crossfiter, powerlifter, weightlifter or bodybuilder, I would highly recommend the Tuscherer scale of effort.
