Although whey and casein protein are great supplements there are those who choose to avoid animal and dairy products for various reasons but who still require a high protein intake. This is definitely achievable but there is also the issue of getting in complete proteins through consuming all of the amino acids. Some athletes even opt to mix up their protein sources for digestion purposes as milk based protein can sometimes be tasking on your digestive system.

This product is gluten and lactose free yet still manages to rival milk protein with 4.5 grams of BCAAs which means you are getting all the benefits of a solid amino acid profile with the added perk of great digestion and natural/raw ingredients.

I personally prefer adding a scoop of protein to my smoothies but for the purposes of a review I have just added the powder to some water in a shaker. The product mixes very easily and has a good texture compared to other plant based protein shakes which I find can be like cement. This was still thick but closer to the texture of whey protein.

I chose the Banana Nut flavour to test out and found that it was more on the nutty side than banana when it came to the taste. I also found it to be slightly chalky but after giving it a try in my smoothie it definitely added a taste of banana and nut which gave the smoothie a thicker texture and made the smoothie taste great.

If you are looking for an alternative source of protein to whey or casein or need a quick source of protein on a vegan diet then I would definitely suggest trying this product.
