The benefits of intermittent fasting.
Intermittent fasting (IF) is a nutrition strategy that has been around for a few years, it has recently started to get attention from the world of science, with increasing evidence that this is more than just another fad diet. IF, as the name suggests, involves extended periods of not eating and shortened eating ‘windows’. There are several types of IF that can be within the same day such as 16:8, where there is an 8 hour eating window between 16 hour fasts, alternate day fasting and variations on fasting where food intake is kept normal for a few days, with one or two restricted days eating thrown in, with the most popular version of this been the 5:2 diet.

What to eat for weight loss ?
One of the most commonly asked questioned that I get asked when it comes to losing weight is ‘what should I eat for weight loss?’ The answer to this, on face value, is quite simple: eat in enough of an energy deficit when you consider your overall daily energy needs including exercise, that you force the body to break into its energy stores (body fat) to lose weight.
Nitric oxide supplement, does it work?
Nitric oxide (NO) is an important cellular signaller in the regulation of blood flow, mitochondrial respiration in skeletal muscle during exercise and in the immune system. It has also been demonstrated that nitric oxide regulates blood pressure and tissue oxygen consumption and it is for these reasons that NO has become of interest for bodybuilders and even athletes, as an increase in blood flow has the potential to increase oxygen and nutrient transport, helping to support performance, recovery and muscle growth.

Testosterone and Sex
Testosterone is the primary male sex hormone and is responsible for the development of masculine features at the onset of puberty, including increases in body hair and muscle mass. As we reach a sexually reproductive age, driven by testosterone levels, this also ‘peaks’ our activity and drives man's innate desire to have sex. Although seen as a male hormone, women also produce small amounts of testosterone and it has similar, but less pronounced effects, but it is still an important regulator of libido.
Fish Oils and Bodybuilding.
The health benefits of fish oils were first noted in Eskimos, despite a diet high in saturated fats and low in unsaturated ‘healthy’ fats, their rates of heart disease were much lower than expected.
